With the optical lenses development, more and more optical shops & wholesalers starting to sell more clearer lenses, but in this market, there have some lenses still have deep base color at a short time, what is the reason?
1.Lens Material.
Some lenses material will bring lenses base color cuz its material is UV400 function, it means 100% UV cut, in these material, if you put lenses in a white paper, it’s easily to see the yellowish because UV light can’t pass through it.
The main representative material is 1.60 MR-8 Blue cut lens (Its color is deep yellowish and hardly to remove and improve it.)
Also, if lenses with blue cut function, or with the anti-glare function, its principle is happened in lens raw material, with the reducing of blue light or anti-glare light, lenses will goes yellowish from this function.
2.Coating technology.
Different coating color will bring different base color, at the same time, different coating machines will make lenses base colors have different effects also.
If you’re experienced in purchasing lenses from China for many years, you will understand there have many different coating machines in different factories.
Since new AR coating machine cost is over $120,000/sets, many factories are using second hand coating machines to gain the price advantages, its cost is about $40,000/set only.
This type of machine is yearly and was repaired for many times, its coating will not have the best performance at light transmittance.

3.Environment of using.
Let us make an example, if you’re wearing blue cut lenses, it will absorbs the harmful blue light when you look at electric devices like computers or telephones. Normally it will turns more yellow base color in 2-3 years constantly using.
Also, it happens same in outdoor activities, lenses will absorb UV light if you’re in your outdoor sun exposure environment, and lens will appears more yellow at this progress over time.
4.Lenses was storage for years before shipment.
Many suppliers will not inform you that what percentage of lenses are yearly stock and what are new production.
Because they have too many lenses in stock, and in order to gain enough profit or gain the price advantage they’ll using these lenses to your order.
(Normally this part of yearly lenses should be sold in dealing prices.)
We have strictly control at the stock, every 3 months we will clearing inventory and ensure all the lenses are new for selling, further more, every lenses will be inspected during the envelope replacing tn double ensure it.
