As Chinese lens manufacturer, we are often asked why some lenses have fast delivery times while others have slow delivery times. I think understanding the lens production process will help you understand why there are these differences.
Usually our optical lens production process can involve 12 steps:
1.Injection
In first step we need to inject the liquid material into models, different type of lens use different model.
2.Heating
Then we need to put the model with liquid material will enter the oven for high-temperature curing.
After being cured at high temperatures, the lens will change from a liquid to a solid,the lens base has already been formed.
3.Mould separation
Then we need to remove the lens from the mold, it is convenient for lens enter the next step. In this step we will have a inspection for blank lens, to avoid the defective lens enter into next step. Like the lens broken edges during the removing model process.
4.Cleaning
The surface of the lens removed from the mold usually has some moisture and liquid residue, so we need to clean it carefully make every lens is clean and flawless.
5.First inspection
After cleaning we will enter the first inspection to check whether the lens base is finished and whether there are bubbles and impurities in the lens during the injection molding process.
Now we just make A grade lenses, so all lens must be satisfied the Grade A quality standard.
6.Hard Coating
Coating is a vary important step in lens production, Hard coating is the first coating on lens base,It makes the lenses harder and more scratch-resistant, making them more durable.
7.Second Inspection
For the lens after hard coating, we will conduct second inspections. Second inspection is for hard coating inspection to ensure hard coating (HC) on every lens is high quality.
8.Heating
In this step, heating allows the hardening coating to fully cure, forming a good protective layer(coating) on the lens surface.
9.AR coating
Ar coating usually including the HMC(hard multi coating) and SHMC(super-hydrophobic multi coating).
HMC makes lenses more anti-reflective, improving lens comfort.SHMC adds waterproof lenses, making them less prone to getting dirty and easier to clean.
To ensure high product quality, we use Nevac coating machine which is imported form Korean, it makes the coating more uniform and of better quality.

10.Third inspection
The quality of the AR coating directly determines the quality of the lens, so we will have a rigorous inspection to ensure the coating on every lens is up to standard.
11.Packaging and warehousing
When lens finished all steps, then we will pack every lens by white envelope bag, Each lens has its corresponding prescription.
Especially for our stocked finished lenses; Once completed, we will put the lenses into our warehouse and store them according to their corresponding optical power.
12.Final inspction
Before shipment, our quality control department will conduct a fourth quality inspection to ensure each lens be accurate power. And then pack them in the customer’s color packaging.
After read to here you will find that the stock lens is produce in advance so we can delivery 1-3days, like 1.56 coated lens, 1.56 blue cut lens, 1.56 photogrey lens and 1.56 photogrey blue cut lens.
But for no stock lenses and customized lenses we need to produce step by step after you placing order, therefore it will need more long time to deliver.
