As we know, lenses are like a cake, there are many lenses functions, like 1.56 photogrey blue cut, 1.56 blue cut, anti-glare and etc, different lenses function will be resulted in different costs.
Some people might have a question, how do our factories calculate the cost? How the lens function will affect the costs?
In my opinion, the main reasons are 3 aspects:
1.It depends by if we’ve built it in stock. If we have this same type of lenses in stock, the production cost is lower a lot cuz we’ve have a big scale cost at bulk production already.
2.This lens function is fashion selling in market already or not. If this lens function is very hot selling in global already, even we don’t built it up, we still have the advantage due to we have 15 years cooperation ship mature raw material supplier chain already.
But instead, if this function is new in market, we will have to spend more study cost and pay for more trial production cost, lens cost will be higher a lot also.
3.The function is happens in raw material or coating. Usually, the function happens in coating is much expensive compare to the lenses which function principle is happens in raw material.
Like: 1.56 / 1.61 anti-glare lens, this lens function must happens in coating cuz raw material anti-glare is unacceptable lens color at the real lens; It cause this type of lens cost is more expensive compare to regular 1.56 / 1.61 blue cut lenses.
